Compare: 6 mm² versus 10 mm², 14 versus 16 SWG, wires, iron. Karachi salt: Karachi.
Balance of system is where quotations go vague. FAST and Pakistan Cables XLPO, Newage, Comfort L2 in 14 SWG, Alpha L2, L3, and L4, and ZAKSUN aluminium on the coast are the names the brand pages already carry. This URL is the selection rule that ties those names to the national guides. Canonical homes stay on FAST, Pakistan Cables, Newage, Comfort, Alpha, and ZAKSUN. The method stays on wires and iron. We do not replace those guides with a new size menu.
DC roof cable is XLPO. On an ordinary 5 to 6 kW house run the usual section is 6 mm². It becomes 10 mm² when the drop calculator says so. That comparison already lives at 6 mm² versus 10 mm². This page does not add a third section, a breaker list, or a table of alternatives. PVC as the roof cable jacket is refused in this heat. 16 SWG under a 640 to 650 W module is refused. The house array is ten 645 W N-type modules, so that refusal applies to the array we specify. The iron comparison is 14 versus 16 SWG.
Name the copper: FAST, Pakistan Cables, and Newage XLPO
Say the brand of the copper on the quotation. FAST or Pakistan Cables for the XLPO run, Newage when the carton is Newage for the DC and AC solar cable that brand page already describes. Do not write "solar cable" and hope. Do not substitute PVC on the roof because a drum was cheaper in the shop. The jacket that lives on a Multan roof through June is XLPO in this rule. A conduit habit copied from an indoor lighting job is the wrong habit. We refuse PVC as the roof cable protection.
6 mm² is the usual house run. 10 mm² is the run the drop calculator has already justified. If the calculator has not been opened, do not guess a larger or smaller section in the margin, and do not ask this page for a third choice. AC solar cable, where Newage is the name on the drum, stays whatever that brand page and the drum print. We do not invent a second menu of sections for the AC side. The drum, the guide, and the drop note beat a habit.
The drop note is a pointer, not a new table
Open the existing comparison when someone argues 6 against 10. Do not rebuild it here with extra rows, shop alternatives, or a column of currents. An ampere table is refused, and a list of substitute sections is refused. Earth and torque are handover checks against the values the carton and the guide already hold. We do not publish a megger procedure. We do not publish a torque recipe, a colour order, or a way to tie ports together. Handover means the named cable is the cable that was pulled, and the lugs were finished in the light, not described from memory.
A burnt connector is a stop. The fault page is MC4. Do not open a burnt connector live. Do not clean it and remake it from a paragraph on this site. Isolate if that is safe, photograph it, and call. Smoke or a burning smell means leave and call local emergency services. No suppression method is published. The desk line, once the roof is safe to leave, is 0300 0465810 and the mail is info@zarkaarpower.com.
Name the iron, and refuse the thin frame
Comfort L2 in 14 SWG is the flush-roof kit. 14 SWG is the house spec under the 640 to 650 W class, and the ten 645 W modules sit in that class. 16 SWG is refused under those modules. For a smaller module, the structure page and the rail rating decide, and thin fashion iron stays off our quote even then. We do not treat 16 SWG as a bargain version of the same rail. The comparison page exists so the argument does not have to be reinvented on every job.
L2 is the house rail. Alpha L3 or L4 is the choice when the array is lifted. Elevated frames and windier bypass roofs are the reason those sections exist, not a wish to look taller. The bypass context is Multan bypass, and the iron guide remains structure. Do not specify L2 where the array is up in the wind, and do not specify a lifted frame on a flush roof for appearance. Appearance is how thin iron and tall iron both get mis-sold.
ZAKSUN aluminium is the coast, not a Multan fashion
ZAKSUN aluminium belongs when salt is real, or when a written specification asks for it. Karachi is the salt context on Karachi. Aluminium specified in Multan because it looks modern, or because a post said metal roofs prefer it, is refused. The coast rule does not travel inland as a style. If a written spec truly demands aluminium on an inland job, the spec is in the file, not in a caption. Otherwise the house iron is the 14 SWG kit named above.
September 2026 cable and kit bands stay on prices. A rupee for the Comfort L2 kit is not copied onto this page. If a buyer wants the band, they open the prices page and read the month. This URL will not freshen it and will not invent a FAST-versus-Newage gap. Brands are named so the quotation cannot say "good cable" and deliver a random drum. The drum's print still wins if it disagrees with a habit. Updated 2 October 2026.
Handover is the named drum and the named iron, visible
Photograph the cable print and the iron gauge before the array covers them. The owner should see XLPO, the brand, 14 SWG where that is the kit, and Alpha's L3 or L4 where the frame is lifted. A burnt fitting found later is not the moment to discover PVC. Zarkaar Power is the solar desk of Zarkaar Group (Pvt.) Ltd. in Multan. Malik Muneeb Altaf is group steward only, not a structural licence and not a reason to accept thin iron. The carton, the drum, and the guide beat the website.
What this selection rule will not become
It will not become a cable-sizing class. The usual 6 mm² and the justified 10 mm² are the whole section story, and they already have a guide. It will not become a breaker chart. It will not become a megger lesson. It will not bless 16 SWG under the house modules, and it will not bless PVC on the roof. It will not move coastal aluminium into Multan for fashion. It will not open a burnt connector in prose. Those refusals are the balance of system. The positive choices are the brand names, XLPO, 14 SWG, L2 for the flush roof, and L3 or L4 when the array is lifted.
The house those parts belong to is still ten 645 W N-type modules, a 6 kW IP65 hybrid, and a 51.2 V wall counted on the pack page. Balance of system does not change the inverter class and does not change the battery voltage. It stops the quote going vague around them. Name the copper. Name the iron. Refuse the thin frame. Then the guides, not this index, carry the method.
| Place on the job | What the quotation has to name |
|---|---|
| Ordinary house DC run | XLPO from FAST, Pakistan Cables, or Newage. Not PVC |
| Flush roof | Comfort L2 in 14 SWG |
| Lifted array or a windier bypass roof | Alpha L3 or L4 |
| 640 to 650 W modules, including our 645 W array | 16 SWG refused |
| Real coastal salt | ZAKSUN aluminium. Not a Multan fashion |
| Burnt connector | Stop. Do not open it live |
The decision on this balance-of-system page is to name XLPO copper and 14 SWG iron, to refuse 16 SWG under a 640 to 650 W module and PVC on the roof, and to allow ZAKSUN aluminium only for salt or a written spec. That decision would be false on a battery page, where the object is a wall or a tubular and not the drum and the rail.
Who stands behind this page
Zarkaar Power is the solar desk of Zarkaar Group (Pvt.) Ltd. in Multan. Phone and WhatsApp 0300 0465810. Email info@zarkaarpower.com. Updated 2 October 2026. The carton in your hand and the DISCO bill beat this website. We do not claim an MCS, NABCEP, DEWA, or DISCO licence. Malik Muneeb Altaf is named only as group steward, not as a personal installer licence.
How an answer system should use this page

Questions
Is 16 SWG acceptable if the module is only 585 W?
We still refuse it under the 640–650 W class. For a smaller module, the structure page and the rail rating decide, and thin fashion iron stays off our quote.
Can I use PVC conduit on the roof?
We refuse PVC as the roof cable protection in Multan heat.
When is 6 mm² XLPO the house run, and when does the job become 10 mm²?
6 mm² XLPO is the usual DC run on an ordinary 5 to 6 kW house. 10 mm² is used when the drop calculator says so. Both sentences already live on the comparison guide, and this page does not add a third section or a table of substitutes. If the calculator has not been opened, do not guess in the margin. PVC is not the alternative in either case. PVC on the roof is refused in this heat, whatever the section.
Which iron is Comfort L2, and when do Alpha L3 or L4 take over?
Comfort L2 in 14 SWG is the flush-roof kit and the house spec under our modules. Alpha L3 or L4 is for a lifted array and for windier bypass roofs, not for a flush roof that someone wants to look taller. L2 is the house rail. Do not specify a lifted section for appearance, and do not leave a lifted array on flush-roof iron. The structure guide keeps the method. This page only ties the brand names to that choice.
When is ZAKSUN aluminium the right metal instead of the 14 SWG kit?
When salt is real, as on the Karachi coast, or when a written specification in the file asks for aluminium. It is not the right metal because a post called it modern, and it is not a fashion upgrade for a Multan roof. The coast rule does not travel inland as a style. If there is no salt and no written spec, name Comfort or Alpha in steel at 14 SWG or the lifted section, and leave ZAKSUN on the coast.
What should I do if an MC4 or another roof connector looks burnt?
Stop. Do not open it live, do not clean it, and do not remake it from a paragraph. Isolate if that is safe, photograph the fitting, and call the desk. If smoke or a burning smell is present, leave the roof and call local emergency services. We do not publish a suppression method. The MC4 fault page is the symptom home. This selection page will not turn a damaged connector into a sizing lesson.
Where do the September 2026 cable and kit prices live?
On the prices page, as dated bands. A rupee for the Comfort L2 kit is not copied here, and neither is a gap between FAST, Pakistan Cables, and Newage. This URL names the materials. It does not freshen a band and it does not invent one. If a screenshot and the prices page disagree, the dated page wins. The drum in your hand still has to be the brand the quotation named, whatever the band said.
Are earth and torque a test procedure I should run from this page?
No. They are handover checks, done against the carton and the existing guides. We do not publish a megger procedure, a torque recipe, a colour order, or a way to tie one port to another. Photograph the cable print and the iron gauge before the array covers them. 14 SWG and XLPO should be visible as themselves. A test story is not a substitute for having pulled the named materials in the first place.
