The dongle is a window, not the inverter.

If the fridge is running and the app is blank, you have a Wi-Fi problem. If the fridge is dead, look at LEDs and silk-screen first: faults. This is not SkyElectric’s paid NOC. We will not sell “AI monitoring” as a substitute for a clamp meter.

Pairing (typical Solarman / SmartESS dongle)

  1. Dongle fully seated in the inverter COM port. Wait for the LED to breathe — not a solid angry red.
  2. Phone on the dongle’s own Wi-Fi (often named after the logger SN). 2.4 GHz. 5 GHz guest networks fail silently.
  3. App → add plant → logger SN from the sticker (not the inverter SN unless the sheet says so).
  4. Hand the logger to home Wi-Fi. SSID/password without emoji, without a captive portal.
  5. Installer account vs owner account: you should own the plant. If the shop refuses to transfer, you do not have monitoring — they do.

FusionSolar / Solar.web / SEMS / iSolarCloud / SolisCloud follow the same politics with different buttons. The carton QR is the real pairing guide.

What the graph means (after net-billing)

PV production — should track the sun, dip in cloud, clip if the array is larger than the inverter. Noon in June with 10×645 W on a 6 kW hybrid will clip. That is design, not a fault.

Load — house consumption the meter/CT can see. If this looks tiny while the AC is on, the CT is on the wrong cable.

Battery SOC — 100% after the first PV day is the calibration you wanted. Sitting at 0% every evening: undersized bank, geyser on LOAD, or CAN not talking (SOC is then a fiction).

Grid import / export — export kWh are cheap (~Rs 11 working). Watch self-use, not “units sold.” A pretty export spike at noon and a fat import at 8 p.m. is a house that sized for selling, not living.

Offline

App down ≠ system down. Look at inverter LEDs. Wi-Fi passwords change, routers die, dongles cook in the sun on the south wall. Move the stick or add a cheap 2.4 GHz repeater. Do not factory-reset the hybrid to “fix Wi-Fi” — you will wipe LCD battery type and spend a shed in the dark.

Firmware

Only from a stocking dealer. Random APKs and “new CAN table” files from Facebook brick pairing and void paper. If a Deye / Growatt / Nitrox needs a firmware for a new LFP protocol, the dealer does it with the plant still owned by you.
