Sabz Bijli and Solar Citizen publish installer checklists. Ours is the list we use against our own quote.
Paper
Written BOM: plate model + watts + Rs/W. Inverter model + PV input. Battery chemistry + usable kWh (DoD applied). Iron SWG. Cable mm² and jacket (XLPO). SPD, earth, labour. Not “5 kW package Rs 4 lakh.”
Flash report / serials for plates. CAN protocol named for LFP. Roof photo, shade, sanctioned load from the bill. Net-billing explained as export ≠ import.
Red flags
PERC 540 W “latest Longi.” 16 SWG stands. PVC “solar wire.” Four tubulars sold as night AC. On-grid-only on a 6-hour feeder without saying it dies. Green meter as a shop SKU. Unsigned cartons. Mixing MC4 brands. “1:1 net-metering still available” for a new file.
On the roof
14 SWG HDG or aluminium. Mid/end clamps torqued. No walking on glass. DC isolator labelled. Earth rod not a rusty nail.
On the wall
IP65 hybrid north/shade. Backup DB split. Battery CAN cable actually plugged. Dongle online before handover.
On handover
String Voc/Isc sheet. App login. Warranty serials. What is on backup vs not. DISCO file status if you wanted one.
